← Four sides of my story

Leader

Setting direction. Bringing people together around a shared purpose.

Leading is mostly clarity. People do good work when they know where they are going and why it matters, and most of the friction I have seen comes from one of those two being fuzzy.

The other half is patience. Developing someone is slower than doing it yourself, and it is the only part that compounds.

  • 01

    Say where we are going

Direction beats instruction. Give people the destination and they solve problems you never anticipated.

  • 02

    Develop, do not just deploy

The measure of leadership is what people can do after you have worked with them.

  • 03

    Be findable

Availability is a form of respect.

This section is deliberately empty. It is where the specifics belong — the actual projects, talks or ventures, with dates and outcomes.
